Overview of Programs Supported by Sponsorships to the Zonta Club of Casa Grande Valley

 

The Zonta Club of Casa Grande Valley is requesting your support for our mission of empowering women and girls through service and advocacy.  Sponsorship monies raised go directly to support our local service projects.

Below you will find information about the various programs and services for which your sponsorship dollars will support.

 

YWPA (Young Women in Public Affairs) Scholarship

 Zonta International believes that young women are the key to women’s advancement in the field of public service. The Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award, recognizes young women, ages 16-19, for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life

 

Gladys Asburn Memorial Fund Casa Grande Food Bank.

Food insecurity is a very real problem in our community. Now more than ever in these unusual times the Zonta Club of Casa Grande Valley not only continues to support but looks to raise the bar in terms of our contributions to our local food bank.

 

Against Abuse

In line with our mission of empowering women through service and advocacy the organization of very important to our organization. Against Abuse, Inc. is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and the community to understand the nature and effects of family violence and the resources available to meet the needs of those abused.  In addition, the agency has taken a proactive role in providing a family focused, culturally sensitive continuum of prevention and intervention services to individuals and families in need of services.

 

CAC (Central Arizona College) Promise for the Future and CAC GED/Return Entry Project

Zonta Club of Casa Grande Valley believes in advancement and empowerment through support of education.

Promise for the Future is an educational initiative made possible through a partnership between Central Arizona College, the Central Arizona College Foundation, Pinal County Middle and High Schools. Promise for the Future was designed to encourage students who reside in Pinal County to remain in high school and graduate from a Pinal County high school. Students who successfully meet Promise for the Future requirements will be eligible to earn a tuition-free education at Central Arizona College

CAC GED/Return Entry Project: Provides funds to women wanting to take the GED exam in order to obtain a GED (General High School Equivalency Diploma) who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of these examinations.
